Job Purpose
Ensure completion of all mandatory training sessions, demonstrate respect towards colleagues, and support production activities (including operator, team leader, and production leader). Engage in preventative maintenance, conduct daily COP (clean, organize, and pickup) and accurately log detailed information in Downtime tracking. Promptly address safety-related issues. Familiarize yourself with equipment and recovery procedures. Adhere to and enforce all plant and departmental policies.
Key Accountabilities
- Operate all HPDC (high pressure die cast) equipment and processes
- Documentation: accurately record downtime in the Production Downtime Reporting System
- Communicate all pertinent information to the next shift as well as receive information from previous shift.
- Work with other staff when needed.
- Give breaks and lunches to associates on rotation
- Ability to troubleshoot and countermeasure issues on die cast machine
- Machine preventative maintenance activity
- Be willing to work scheduled and non-scheduled overtime
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Minimum Experience:
- 1 year manufacturing experience preferred
Other Job-Specific Skills:
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to work with other team members
- Self-motivated
- Ability to manage time and multi-task
- Basic computer skills
- Keep training up to date
Working Conditions
- Maintaining equipment, keeping it running quality parts, standing for 8 hours.
- Daily, Weekly, and holiday overtime as required.
- Lifting/moving of parts weighing over 30 lbs.
- Working in a warm/semi-dirty environment
- No travel requirements.
