As a Psychological Services Specialist, you will provide psychological, counseling, and behavior support services at Selinsgrove Center. You treat patients with intellectual disabilities, dual diagnoses, and co-occurring mental health conditions. You will be a member of an interdisciplinary team managing a caseload, analyzing psychological and behavioral issues, recommending care, and monitoring progress on mental health support actions. This role requires the ability to encourage positive interaction with the residents at Selinsgrove Center and a genuine desire to form meaningful relationships that promote personal dignity and self-esteem. In addition, you will conduct individual and group counseling sessions, train and monitor staff, and submit reports.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Alternative work hours will be scheduled as needed. Some second and third shift work is required.
• Overtime and travel as needed
• Free parking
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• A master's degree in a behavioral science, counseling education, rehabilitation, human development or a closely related field.
• Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

Other Requirements:

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
  • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
