Coating & Assembly Technician

This unique role combines responsibilities in spray coating, masking, and precision assembly for aerospace components and medical prosthetics. Key Responsibilities:

Spray Coating & Equipment Operation:

• Operate robotic and manual spray chambers to apply customer-specified coatings on aerospace parts.
• Perform preventative maintenance on spray equipment, including plasma torch upkeep and filter changes.
• Conduct visual inspections of grit-blasted parts before and after coating to ensure quality.

Masking & Surface Preparation:

• Apply masking materials such as tapes, plugs, and bungs to protect parts during coating.
• Sandblast, polish, and prepare surfaces for finishing processes.
• Unmask parts and perform touch-ups as needed.

Production Assembly & Quality Control:

• Assemble medical prosthetics and joint replacements to exact specifications.
• Inspect finished products for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Maintain detailed production records and adhere to safety and regulatory protocols.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing, machining, automotive, or related mechanical roles.
• Strong attention to detail and hand dexterity for masking and assembly tasks.
• Ability to work safely with coatings, solvents, and industrial equipment.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with a team.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
