The Senior Relationship Manager will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our fintech partnerships. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for fintech partners, ensuring they derive maximum value from Hatch Bank's products and services. They will lead customer enablement strategies, oversee implementation and operational management of fintech partnerships, and drive revenue growth while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Responsibilities/Duties
Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for each assigned Third-Party Relationship (TPR), establishing and maintaining strong advisory relationships with key customer stakeholders.
- Primary advocate for fintech partners, guiding them through the full customer journey, from implementation to maturity, while ensuring an exceptional partner experience.
- Lead the customer enablement strategy for each fintech partner, proactively identifying opportunities for revenue retention, value expansion, and long-term strategic growth
- Manage and oversee TPR's throughout the entire lifecycle: from implementation and ongoing operations to termination and wind-down.
- Lead the process for review and approval of all strategic partners' program-related materials, including decision-making guidelines, credit underwriting and review, policies, legal documents, operational and regulatory procedures, funds flows, marketing material, and financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, and annual)
- Collect and report to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) requisite information to perform quantitative analyses, identify partnership opportunities, threats, and strategic assessments to enhance Bank/ fintech relationships
- Collaborate with internal teams (business development team, compliance, operations) to ensure effective execution of programs.
- Lead quarterly business reviews with strategic partners to align on growth objectives, review performance metrics, and present new product opportunities
- Support the CRO in developing new business opportunities with existing and potential fintech strategic partners and COI's
- Responsible for creating and implementing an enablement strategy that ensures mutual value is generated for both Hatch Bank and its fintech partners.
- Remain engaged and knowledgeable on processor and card network features, launching of new products, trends in fintech investing and capital markets activity, and integrating information with existing and new partners
- Prepare and present official memorandums to Executive leadership outlining program and policy changes
- Oversee and perform periodic, risk-based targeted and annual site visits to review and audit the TPR's adherence to program agreements and applicable regulations
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned
Essential Functions
While performing the essential functions of this position, the incumbent is subject to sedentary work for extended periods of time. Some ability to access files and attend meetings is necessary. The incumbent must be able to operate a computer terminal and office equipment and communicate and exchange information with internal and external customers.
Knowledge - Skills & Abilities
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related business field is preferred
- Five (5) or more years of experience as a relationship manager / program manager at a fintech sponsorship bank or at a fintech with a sponsor bank relationship
- Experience with fintech products and services with sound lending and deposit knowledge
- Ability to understand unique and challenging strategic partnership business models
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills necessary to support internal and external relationships
- Superior time management and organization skills with the focus on meeting deadlines
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office including ability to review and interpret data utilizing concepts and tools
- Experience at fast-paced, highly motivated bank or financial services company
- Organizational and planning skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience interfacing with card networks (Visa, Mastercard, etc.) and card processors during program launch, ongoing operation, and termination
- Experience in project management, familiarity with banking regulations, experience with credit oversight and underwriting
Pay Range: $100,000.00 to $180,000.00 per year. Pay range may vary based on skills, experience, and location
