Job Description

Position Summary:

Level II: Working without necessary supervision, level II Hose Assembly technicians demonstrate advanced competencies in assembly techniques, intermediate shop math, print reading, and troubleshooting. They also provide guidance and training to lower-level employees. Typically, 2-5 years of experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare filler metal, parts, and flux prior to brazing.
  • Safely and efficiently operate torches to join parts together without overheating, underfilling, or blistering the base metal.
  • Utilize part fixturing to solidly braze parts of varying shapes and sizes while maintaining blueprint dimensions.
  • Clean flux and polish parts after brazing.
  • Interact with production tracking tools (such as E1) to charge time to job orders and claim completed parts.
  • Perform routine SPC part inspection, as required.
  • Troubleshooting issues as it pertains to brazing.
  • Other duties assigned

Required Skills:

  • The ability to comprehend advanced assembly blueprints, with a strong understanding of GD&T.
  • Intermediate knowledge of shop math.
  • A strong background of mechanical, hands-on experience.
  • Good hand and eye coordination.
  • Thorough experience following standard operational procedures.
  • Experienced with the use of calipers, micrometers, protractors, comparators, or other common inspection gages.
  • Experienced with the use of polish wheels, hand-powered surface grinders, or commonly used power tools.
  • Experienced in intermediate troubleshooting of equipment or machinery.
  • Work in a safe and conscientious manner; adhere to safety rules
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail on all learned skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Read and Write English

Desired Skills

  • Experienced using optical measurement systems to verify part conformance to the blueprint.
  • Experienced with hot-work environments.
  • 250+ hours of experience in at least one of the following:
    • TIG Welding
    • Gas/Oxy-Acetylene Welding
    • Brazing
    • Soldering
  • Intermediate experience with safely operating a chemical processing line.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $20.50 to $28.75 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter . Employees will receive 96 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.
This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)).
