Summary of Need:

Equiliem seeks an experienced and results-oriented Leave of Absence Administrator to perform all tasks associated with the review, approval/denial and communication and payment of leaves of absence. In this highly visible and customer-driven role, you will be responsible for ensuring all Leaves are processed within the client's policy guidelines and in accordance with all regulatory requirements. You will also work closely with a variety of HR colleagues and customers including Employee Relations, Benefits, Payroll, Occupational Health and outside vendors in managing the FMLA, NY Paid Family Leave, Short-Term Disability, Long Term Disability and Workers' Compensation programs.

Job Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • You will administer the payroll for all employees on approved leaves of absences, ensuring payments consistent with policy and applicable laws.
  • You will serve as the main point of contact for employees and managers with inquiries regarding the clients policies and individual Disability and Paid Family Leave claims.
  • You will provide support, address questions or issues regarding leaves of absence and other benefits to employees and managers.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree is highly desirable.
  • 1-2 years payroll experience (Kronos/Dimensions preferred)
  • Experience working with leave management. Candidate should be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of regulations concerning FMLA, ADA, HIPPAA, FLSA, COBRA etc.
  • Strong computer skills including familiarity with HRIS (Lawson preferred) and Microsoft Office with proficiency in Excel is also required.
  • Strong organizational skills required.
  • Superior customer service skills including excellent verbal and written communication, will be essential.
  • Highly motivated, independent thinker and self-starter.
  • Enthusiastic team player.



Shift: Monday to Friday - 9am to 5pm (35hrs weekly)

Contract Length: 13 weeks, with possible extensions. Potential Temp to Perm opportunity.
