Postdoctoral Associate Georgetown University: Medical Center: School of Medicine: Neurology Location: Medical Center Open Date: Apr 10, 2025 Deadline: Description A postdoc position is available in the Visual Perception and Plasticity (VPP) lab, led by Dr. Tina Liu, in the Department of Neurology at Georgetown University Medical Center. The VPP lab studies neuroplasticity in both healthy and clinical populations across the lifespan, with a focus on vision. The postdoctoral researcher will play a key role in studies that integrate psychophysics/visual behavior, eye tracking, functional and structural MRI, transcranial electrical stimulation, and computational modeling. Georgetown University has a vibrant neuroscience community with over fifty labs participating in the Interdisciplinary Program in Neuroscience and several relevant research centers, including Center for Brain Plasticity and Recovery and Center for Neuroengineering. As of July 2024, the salary range for all Postdoctoral Fellows is $61,008 - 70,000. Years of experience will be a significant contributing factor in the salary decision. GUMC references the National Research Service Award (NRSA) Stipends, Tuition/Fees and Other Budgetary Levels to benchmark appropriate salaries for the Postdoctoral Fellows. Qualifications The ideal candidate will hold a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience, Psychology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with a strong theoretical and technical background in vision research. Proficiency in programming (MATLAB or Python) and experience in human neuroscience research are required.
