POSITION SUMMARYThis individual is an integral member of the finance shared services team; the Finance Operations Specialist is responsible to maintain working functional knowledge of all critical processes in Finance Shared Services so that they may fill in for short- or long-term project and team needs. Assigned work area may change daily and with short notice, so flexibility is required.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Cash Application - the daily posting of cash to customer accounts in a timely and accurate manner. This position will also research and identify payment discrepancies, reconcile accounts, and resolve unapplied cash postings. Accurately apply incoming payments (checks, wires, ACH, etc.) to customer accounts across various business divisions. Review and reconcile remittance advices to ensure proper application of funds. Collaborate with internal teams to resolve unapplied or misapplied payments. Support the rollout and adoption of the new cash application system, including training the AI model on remittance advices and identifying anomalies. Process and track NSF payments, coordinate with collections, and update customer accounts accordingly. Provide support for internal and external audits as needed. Develop and/or maintain process and policy documentation Functional Expert responsible to train new or existing team members on expected processes and role responsibilities Provide subject matter expertise in project design, testing, implementation Serve as a project manager/business analyst on key finance shared services initiatives Perform other related duties and projects as required and assigned Live our values of High Performance, Caring Relationships, Strategic Foresight, and Entrepreneurial Spirit. QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Associates Degree required
- Two years of related work experience required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate detailed information in a clear, easy to understand manner
- High level of proficiency in working with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Display strong analytical, organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
- Above average cognitive and numerical aptitude
- Has above average attention to detail and high degree of speed / accuracy in data entry
- Demonstrated conflict resolution and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated credibility with team and business partners
- Exercises sound judgement and adherence to department policy and procedures
- Demonstrates process improvement mindset

- Bachelor's degree preferred,
