The Assistant Director of Operations oversees operations and systems related to the application process for the Full-time, Flex, Flex Online and MAAP MBA Programs. This person has primary responsibility for executing aspects of operations including: oversight of application development (including updates and changes), scholarship coding, and final decision processing for Full-time, Flex, Flex Online and MAAP MBA Program Admissions. She/he will also work with the Assistant Dean of Operations on optimizing the application system through automation development, continuous workflow management, re-invigorating outdated processes, and synchronization across university systems. The Assistant Director of Operations is the main liaison across the university campus to ensure smooth admissions operations and collaboration. Specifically, he/she serves as POC to the MSB Apps Team, UIS Banner offices, University Finance and MSB Finance, Office of Global Services (OGS) for student onboarding, Program Office for student onboarding, Career Center for student onboarding, and others. Duties include but are not limited to:
Work Interactions The Assistant Director of Operations for MBA Admissions reports directly to the Assistant Dean of Operations in MBA Admissions, and works under the guidance of other senior leadership, including the Associate Dean. The Assistant Director has one direct report staff member (Operations Manager), one indirect report, Assistant Director of Admissions, one direct student worker report, and has indirect oversight of 4+ student workers.vThe Assistant Director works to identify, recruit, and admit progressively higher quality prospective students to the Full-time, Flex, Flex Online and MAAP MBA Programs. Her/his management and development of the application systems and execution of the established business processes enables the department to be innovative, as well as track, manage, evaluate and enroll MBA students in each program. Additionally, this role is responsible for ensuring seamless integration of admissions data with other University systems (Salesforce, Banner, OGS) and external partners (Consortium). Pay Range: The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $44,022.00 - $73,406.80 Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
