Scientific Modeling Software Developer

This is a Scientific Software development position on-site at our customer site NSWC Carderock in West Bethesda, MD.

Peraton is hiring a Software Developer to work within a Government-Contractor team to maintain and expand an important US Navy modeling package. This position will be responsible for the following:

Maintenance, development, and testing of a large-scale C# application that performs acoustic modeling of large scale Naval structures.
• Daily interaction with USN customers to review priorities, development status, and emergent issues
• Assist users ranging from PhD power users to beginners with questions and issues on the software
• Work with USN IA personnel on security and Authority to Operate questions

5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience with C# in a MS Windows environment
• Strong math background
• Ability to manage priorities and communicate with a diverse customer base
• SECRET Clearance

Desired :

• MATLAB experience
• IAT II Certification

Candidates without a IAT II Certification will be required to obtain one within 6 months of being hired.
