Overview

The Manager, Operations Finance is responsible for facilitating accurate financial reporting of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payables for both the corporate and property level financials. Communication includes the Property Accounting, Asset Management, Corporate Accounting, Asset Services, Operations and Acquisitions teams. This position requires excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. A working knowledge of office processes and related computer software and electronic communications tools is essential, as is the ability to communicate with all levels of employees.



Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable:

    Post and review recurring corporate billing charges and perform analysis from prior month's charges to identify any adjustments needed.
  • Manage accounts receivable by confirming accurate application of cash deposits, coordinating collection issues with property accounting personnel, applying late fees, reconciling monthly, and overseeing resolution of misapplications. Prepare and review accounts receivable reports monthly.
  • Perform quarterly collectability analysis on a property-by-property basis and present to Senior Leadership.
  • Administer various contracts and vendor platforms including Paymode X, Net Vendor, FedEx, etc. as well as implement new enhancements as necessary.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of positive ownership relationships by politely assisting with questions relating to accounts receivable.

Accounts Payable:

  • Manage corporate accounts payable including invoice processing and data entry (when needed).
  • Review monthly accruals and reclassifications prior to forwarding to corporate for entry.
  • Create, review, and revise property allocations as needed.
  • Preparation and filing of 1099s for Residential properties.
  • Setup of new vendors.
  • Manage team of AP specialist in contractor roles.

Monthly Reporting:

  • Calculate and post payroll adjustments and provide information to property accounting and asset management.
  • Assist Residential Accounting team with draw/funding requests for lenders and JV partners.
  • Assist Residential Accounting with investor funding requests.
  • Prepare monthly reports for Senior Manager as needed.

General:

  • Comply with company policies and procedures and demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Assist with property onboarding process including Conservice set up, bank account integration with Yardi and BILT and coordination with Treasury team.
  • Provide assistance to the Property Accounting, Operations and Asset Management teams as requested.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as delegated.
  • Act as a team member with all employees, demonstrating initiative and leadership skills.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required. Preferred course of study Business Administration, Real Estate or Accounting.
  • Five to seven years' experience in real-estate related accounting or finance position.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and results-driven environment.
  • Proficiency with property management/accounting software (preferably Yardi).
  • Advanced Excel skills, and other Windows applications.
  • Requires excellent verbal, written, and organization skills.
  • Strong work ethic and demonstrated history of reliable work record.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external teams.
  • Must be a team oriented, problem solver.
  • Strong attention to detail and solid analytical skills are a must.
