JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Buildings and Maintenance Services, a department within the Office of Physical Plant at Penn State University, is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Skilled Trades Supervisor in a unionized environment. This fully onsite position is responsible for a crew of approximately 20 skilled trades technicians comprised of Electricians, HVAC technicians, Plumbers, and Maintenance Technicians that maintain a portion of University Park during the first shift. This position is responsible for managing work, ensuring excellent service to customers,and balancing multiple budgets. The scheduled hours for this position are Monday to Thursday 6:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.There are times when hours may need to be extended or adjusted to meet the needs of the business. Background Checks: This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
