Precise Systems is seeking entry level Electronics Technician to support the Vertical Launch System (VLS) Launcher Support Equipment (LSE) Engineering Branch at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD). The position will consist of serving as a member of the LSE Team and providing technician support for the MK41 and MK57 Vertical Launching System (VLS) In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) Programs.

Duties:



  • The candidate will develop maintenance procedures for launcher support equipment.
  • The candidate will troubleshoot launcher support equipment failures both mechanical and electromechanical.
  • The candidate will evaluate and generate feedback for Technical Manual Feedback Reports (TMFRs).
  • The candidate will conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with certifications.
  • The candidate will be responsible for creating and processing Notice of Revisions (NORs) for Launcher Support equipment as required.


Desired Skills:



  • Must be familiar with common manual and power tools.
  • Must be self-motivated, take the initiative, and be decisive.
  • Must be punctual and able to work in office full time.
  • Must have excellent communication skills.
  • Prior knowledge of VLS canisters and deluge systems is a definite plus.
  • Competency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) is required.


Desired Experience:



  • 2-5 years hands-on experience in mechanical hardware troubleshooting.


Desired Education:



  • High School Diploma
  • Associate level degree in an engineering discipline


OTHER REQUIREMENTS:



  • Ability to lift at least 25lbs.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • Valid driver's license for possible CONUS travel.
  • Current U.S. passport for possible OCONUS travel.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently.
  • High degree of self-motivation.
  • Self-starter willing to work in a team environment.


This position is covered by the Service Contract Labor Standard under a Wage Determination. As such Under the SCA selected candidates are entitled to both the hourly rate aforementioned and a health and welfare benefit. Precise Systems is meeting that benefit through the use of a bona fide plan which includes certain insurance coverage.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Compensation at Precise Systems is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, competencies, and contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is $40,850.57 to $61,275.85 (annualized USD). This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems' total compensation package.
