Schedule: Osaic has returned to the office on a hybrid schedule requiring a minimum of 4 days weekly in the office. Non-remote employees must be willing to work this schedule. Given the regional and travel requirements for this position, Osaic is open to remote applicants for this position.

Role Type: Full time

Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 per year + Sales Incentive Compensation

Actual compensation offered will be determined individually, based on a number of job-related factors, including location, skills, experience, and education.

Summary:

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide simplified presentations that explain advanced planning concepts. The position requires a deep understanding of advanced uses for Life Insurance, Disability Income Insurance, Longevity products, and annuities to solve planning needs. The role will also be responsible for the development and upkeep of proprietary software that delivers highly effective presentations that explain these concepts.

Responsibilities:

  • Create custom models or visuals for client situations to assist advisor in presenting solutions

  • Partner with internal and external technology development resources to build, maintain, and deploy proprietary presentation software

  • Coordinate with other members of Highland's Advanced Planning team to stay abreast of trends in the areas of asset management, trust services, business planning, estate planning, and insurance planning to deliver comprehensive case support

  • Design educational and training content to raise an advisor's ability to address advanced planning concepts. Collaborate with Marketing and Design to maintain look / feel / branding of Adv. Planning content consistent with Highland's design book.

  • Leverage proprietarty carriers systems as well as 3rd party multi-carrier resources to generate illustrations and advanced case designs aligned with complex planning strategies.

Education Requirements:

  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation combined with a Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years' experience working in advanced markets at a product provider, independent broker-dealer, or independent RIA will be considered. Minimum of Bachelor's degree combined with CFP designation is required.

Basic Requirements:

  • Insurance licensure required

  • Securities Industry Series 6 & 63 required

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in insurance distribution with a working knowledge of most insurance and annuity product categories.

  • Strong knowledge of advanced sales concepts and planning strategies

Preferred Requirements:

  • Advanced technical skills including Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with additional programming languages a plus.

  • Strong partnership mindset with an aptitude for developing effective relationships with a wide variety of internal and external associates

  • Strong knowledge of individual life insurance, annuity, trust, financial planning, executive benefit, and/or linked benefit products

  • Must be very effective in communicating and explaining these strategies with strong written and verbal skills, and the ability to communicate well in front of a group, and to individuals in-person and remotely.

  • Create and deliver presentations for sales meetings, webinars, and continuing education meetings

  • Ability to travel 25%
