Job Description:

PURPOSE AND SCOPE
This position is responsible for the development and implementation of the short and long term sales strategy for Rite-Hite Doors in North America. Incumbent will plan, organize, implement, and execute sales strategy to maximize revenue & profit, meet sales, marketing, and financial goals, and corporate growth objectives. Incumbent will also develop meaningful relationships with major customers, various trade associations, etc., while establishing themselves as a recognized market leader.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

With input from the Interior Solutions Group Door Management Team , manage development and execution of short and long-term, sales-related aspects of the strategic plan. This position will develop overall sales strategies with input from Rite-Hite Doors Inc. (RHDI) Management Team and maintain responsibility for the selling strategies driving direct sales and strategy for the assigned product line. This position is responsible for meeting or exceeding the sales budget as established in the annual business plan. This direct involvement will require travel to customer sites, industry associations, etc., as required (up to 50% of time).

Develop plan for penetration of key customer accounts to ensure early success of Doors market entry strategy. Develop and maintain relationships with major customers to meet budgeted revenue and profit targets.

The BDM will focus on end user selling activities which can include the Architects and Consulting Engineers.

This position will be responsible for identifying and targeting potential customers and clients within the identified markets and territories to promote and sell Doors products as well as identifying and targeting new markets and business opportunities.

Provide direction to Engineering regarding customers' desired value-added aspects of products to help guide the discovery and development of innovative, exclusive, product features and benefits to build and maintain a premium, differentiated product leadership position in the industry.

Make accurate determinations as to the short and long term growth potential of specific products within an assigned product group. The BDM will offer recommendations as to the need for product revisions, expansion, and/or elimination.

Provide input on additional products that could be added to the initial product line to help strategically grow the business.

Provide input to the Rite-Hite Doors Inc. management team regarding customers' desired, value-added service needs that could be developed to help entrench our value-added, leadership position in the marketplace.

Work closely with marketing and product management teams to strategize integrative marketing plans to develop brand awareness and generate qualified leads.

Provide insight to the marketing staff as related to online sales strategy/execution, sales tool development, advertising campaigns, literature, videos, product sales presentations, and any other related marketing and media plans/strategies.

Develop and maintain relationships within Industry Groups and Association.

The incumbent will be responsible for monitoring competitive strategies being used and develop effective communication/counter strategies to position Rite-Hite as the market leader. Define, track, and report competitive activity and market trends to the RHDI Management Team.

Design and implement training for future sales hires that occur as the business grows.

The incumbent will be responsible for the development and delivery of internal training specific to the assigned product group. Training aids will also be developed with marketing and used by designated personnel in actual field training.

The BDM will collaborate with management, marketing, and engineering, offering their expertise and knowledge, to ensure the success of new product introductions. This can include collaboration on appropriate sales tolls and strategies/tactics to achieve established sales targets.

The incumbent, in coordination with our marketing team, is responsible for the creation and ongoing review of pricing structure to ensure its accuracy and appropriateness for an assigned product group. The BDM will communicate to sales management any competitive changes in strategies.

Provide before and after installation field support including communicating valuable customer feedback to Sales Management, Marketing, and Engineering Departments.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1) Develop and drive short & long term sales strategies to help increase sales and profitability of all Rite-Hite Doors products as well as achieve corporate objectives

2) Develop and introduce new, compelling products, that will grow the product line and enhance the product line positioning and competitive differentiation as well as manage product life cycles and pricing strategies

3) Maintain strong relationships with established customers that purchase Rite-Hite Doors Products as well as find and target new customers that represent good sales potential for Rite-Hite Doors Products.

4) Find and develop new market opportunities for Rite-Hite Doors Products

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in business or engineering from four-year college or university; along with five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Related experience should include industrial product marketing and sales training. MBA with Marketing concentration preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires excellent communication and team building skills to effectively coordinate sales strategies and activities within Rite-Hite Doors.

This position must develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the business; this includes knowing the industry's language, nomenclature and keeping abreast of industry trade news and developments.
