Department: WCAS Physics & Astronomy

The Department of Physics and Astronomy seeks a self-directed administrative professional to support a research center. The Program Assistant supports the research operations for the Center for Network Dynamics, ensuring the smooth functioning of the center and a positive experience for all group members.
This is a part-time position that works on-site, 3 days per week.
The target hiring range for this position will be between $18.42 - $25.90 per hour. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Administration: Provides clerical and administrative support to faculty director, including calendar management; drafting & typing letters, reports, charts using word processing, spreadsheet, database &/or presentation software; basic bookkeeping; screening calls & visitors
- Meetings/Events: Coordinates meetings and events, including preparing agendas; disseminating schedules and itineraries; preparing materials; making travel arrangements
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of administrative support or other relevant experience
Minimum Competencies:
- Intermediate knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, email and database software programs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree in STEM field.
Preferred Competencies:
- Familiarity with latex, AI software, and graphic design
