INTERN, COMMUNICATIONS AND PUBLIC RELATIONS

What you'll do.

As a Communications and Public Relations Intern, you'll dive into the exciting world of communications and PR, gaining hands-on experience while supporting the organization's efforts to engage with the media and collaborate with outside vendors. You will have opportunities that will not only help you build confidence but also refine your communication skills. This role offers a unique opportunity to play a part in showcasing the vital work of neurologists to the public, giving you invaluable experience in shaping public perception and media relations.

What we look for.

Education:

  • High School diploma or GED is required
  • Must be enrolled as a student working towards a degree in communications, public relations, or other related field is required

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Power Point is required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously is required
  • Strong attention to detail is required
  • Ability to handle confidential information is required
  • Strong customer service skills are required
  • Ability to excel and stay organized in a fast-paced environment with daily deadlines is required
  • Understanding of media monitoring services is preferred
  • Understanding of Associated Press (AP) style is preferred

*Equivalent combination of education and experience beyond the minimum requirement may be substituted for qualification requirements.

Travel Requirements: No travel required.

Location: Minneapolis, MN, and MN and is identified as primarily remote (ability to work remotely, but required to work in the office as needed or requested)

Schedule: Rarely beyond standard work schedule required

For Internships scheduled to work under 20 hours a week:
