YOUR ROLE

We're looking for Senior Content Writer with strong B2B marketing and tech experience to support business marketing initiatives. This B2B writer will work alongside subject matter experts, Product/Project Managers, and partner directly with external clients. While adhering to the client's marketing strategies and goals, this individual will deliver a wide variety of B2B contentfor a major Fortune 50 brand. In addition to writing, must be able to proofread materials for brand voice, tone, readability, accuracy, clarity, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and consistency of content/format.

The Senior Content Writer will work with a core client editorial team that delegates and oversees writing and editing assignments, often under tight deadlines.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Partnerwith project teams to understand business objectives and audience
  • Under client guidance, author content of flyers, blogs, customer stories, email campaigns, newsletters, product briefs, digital banners, landing pages, video scripts, presentations, infographics, social media copy, eBooks, and white papers using insights provided
  • Translate complex technical concepts, terminology, and copy strategy into compelling messaging
  • Write to appropriate audiences (enterprise, mid-market, small business, public sector) according to medium (e.g., white paper vs. digital banner copy vs. email)
  • Make sure copy tone is "on brand" and adheres to corporate editorial guidelines and brand style guide
  • Ensure best practices in grammar, messaging, writing, and style
  • Research as needed for each project
  • Work with SEO team to incorporate key search terms into content with focus on web traffic and engagement/performance


REQUIRED SKILLS:



  • Must be based in DFW area and be able to work 1-3 days a week onsite with the client as needed
  • Our ideal candidate will have 8+ years of relevant experience (writing in an advertising or public relations agency, marketing firm, in-house communications team, or in a freelance capacity)
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing, Advertising, or Journalism (or relevant field) preferred
  • Must be able to take technical information and write content that it is readable and easy to understand for multiple audiences
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, positive attitude, and experience working with executive-level clients
  • Solid understanding of marketing and advertising principles
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and produce the highest quality work under tight deadlines
  • Impressive portfolio of B2Bcontent including flyers, blogs, email campaigns, newsletters, product briefs, digital banners, landing pages, video scripts, presentations, infographics, social media copy, and white papers
  • Writing experience with telecom or tech industry a strong plus
  • Rock-solid writing skills in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and voice-and-collaboration platforms

This range is specific to NYC and multiple factors are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: skill set, experience and training, certifications; etc. This is an exempt position.
