Job Description
Stress Engineer Full time Derby, Bristol or Inchinnan Hybrid (3 days/week in the office) Why Rolls- Royce? An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Stress Engineer to join our Critical Parts Lifing (CPL) team in Derby. Other locations - Bristol or Inchinnan will be considered as well. Our team performs structural mechanical integrity and lifing calculations for critical parts of Trent XWB, Trent 1000 and Trent 7000 engines. In this role, you will be responsible for the structural analysis of a variety of Critical Part components. These include fan discs, compressor discs, blisks & drums, turbine discs & cover plates as well as mainline shafts and stub-shafts. The components are subject to some of the most severe and complex loading and temperature conditions temperature found in the aviation industry and any engineering field, and they are designed and analysed with high fidelity against aviation authorities certification safe life requirements.
