DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Public Service Intern selected for this position will provide technical support to a professional audit team concerning audit policy and procedures, computer, Point-Of-Sale (POS) functions, activities and store responsibility. This includes providing support to store personnel on store related issues. You will perform analytical and evaluative work pertaining to Electronic Data Processing (EDP) systems and methodologies to ensure that risks are properly identified, and audit resources are effectively utilized to mitigate the risks to Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) programs, functions, and objectives. Understanding and researching complex accounting and auditing concepts and their application to PLCB situations will be your responsibility. You will have the opportunity to conduct special projects of PLCB functions involving research and analysis.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, Home Headquartered
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, one day per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Travel within Region 1 (Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties) will be required.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Current enrollment as a full-time undergraduate student in an accredited college/university in a declared bachelor's degree program and successful completion of at least sixty (60) college credits at the time of hire. Full time undergraduate students who have successfully completed at least thirty (30) college credits and anticipate the completion of at least sixty (60) college credits at the time of hire may apply for this program.
  • Current enrollment as a graduate student in an accredited college/university in a declared master's or doctorate degree program at the time of hire.

Other Requirements:
