DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

  • Reviews in-game text, voice scripts, manual text, package copy, game summaries, and other materials as
    needed.
  • Reviews text and makes recommendations regarding grammar, spelling, style, voice, content, and
    consistency.
  • Researches franchise history and fact-checks content.
  • Assists in maintaining department style guides, character sheets and other editorial guidelines.
  • Collaborates with proofreaders and copy editors to review game content consistently and efficiently.
  • Collaborates with other editors by creating process efficiencies and leveraging resources.

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:

  • One to two years related experience or professional editing certification.
  • Undergraduate degree in required language, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, Journalism or equivalent experience.


Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States to be considered. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

This position is hybrid in Redmond, WA. Hybrid positions require regular onsite work following the schedule and guidelines for their division. This position is not open to fully remote status at this time.
This position includes a base pay range of $26.44- $37.02 per hour, potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off. Please see our Benefits & Perks page for more benefits information.
