This position performs bar service activities with primary responsibility for mixing alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks; serving beverages and/or food; and monitoring guest alcohol consumption.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greets guests, takes orders, serves food and/or beverages while monitoring alcohol consumption and maintaining company service standards.
  • Requests proper identification from guests purchasing alcoholic beverages when legal age is questionable (under the age of 30).
  • Performs all duties of bartender checklists including cleaning duties.
  • Enters orders into POS, maintains accurate guests cover counts, totals receipts correctly, verifies sales, and collects payment for all food and beverages served.
  • Complies with all company, local, state, and national regulations pertaining to food quality, cleanliness and sanitation standards, alcohol service, and safety.
  • Completes all other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • 1-2 years related experience in a high-volume, high energy, food and beverage environment.
  • Availability to work nights and weekends as needed.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to position self to move about.
  • The employee frequently is required to operate and use bar station tools and equipment; and communicate with guests, employees, and management.
  • The employee must move up to 42 pounds frequently, and occasionally move up to 160 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Alcohol service certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
  • City alcohol license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
