Your Role

As our next Manufacturing Quality Technician- 1st Shift, you'll be at the forefront of shaping our organization's success. Responsibilities:

  • Support Quality for our Core business unit
  • Lead, train, and manage sort, rework, and various actions through component / product dispositions.
  • Manage and maintain organization of quarantined material.
  • Respond quickly and efficiently to production non-conformances, drive initial testing/evaluation and coordinate communication with the Quality Engineer, Production, and Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Provides direct technical responses to manufacturing issues.
  • Perform product testing to understand product performance deficiencies.
  • Implement corrective actions to address product or service deficiencies.
  • Works with Quality Engineer(s), Production, and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure robust investigations and corrective actions.
  • Operates within CPC Quality and inventory management systems (Oracle).
  • Active participant in Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence projects.
  • Keeps current in the field with internal and external education and training.
  • Acts as QA liaison in cross-functional projects and CPC representative to suppliers/customers.
  • Adheres to all safety regulations.
  • Demonstrates support for Colder Products Company core values.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Good technical communication skills with multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Self-driven and able to work with limited supervision.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to self-prioritize and multitask in support of engineering/manufacturing projects.

Preferred Skills:

  • Two-year degree or certification in a technical discipline is preferred.
  • Experience with metal machining and/or plastic injection molding processes preferred.
  • Experience with medical device and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities preferred.
  • Experience with inspection methods, tools, and practices preferred.
  • Preferred ERP software experience.
  • Preferred ASQ participation and certification.
  • Preferred detailed knowledge of CPC parts and components or equivalent.
  • Preferred working knowledge of MS Office; Word, Excel, & Power Point.

  • Up to 10%

    • This range is the pay scale for this role in Minnesota. Individual compensation is based on skills, experience, and qualifications related to this position.
