POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Position Overview

Alutiiq Solutions, LLC is excited to offer an incredible opportunity for an expert Electrical Engineer to support the integration and installation efforts of Mission Delta 4 atBuckley Space Force Base, Colorado to join our team and support the groundbreaking mission of the Space Force. Responsibilities include supporting the SBIRS/OPIR mission in the design of modifications to include mechanical and electrical systems. This role is located at Peterson SFB, Co.

Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

Leadership and Supervision:



  • Lead contract personnel in identifying required facility and infrastructure modifications, supervise their installation, and personally execute modifications as needed to ensure mission success.
  • Review reports from Task Leads to identify potential risks and initiate mitigation processes to address risks before escalation.
  • Supervise contractor personnel in the installation of such infrastructure modifications and physically perform such modifications
  • Perform other duties as may be required by SBIRS/OPIR mission administration.


Project Review and Feedback:



  • Review, correct, and provide feedback on mechanical and electrical systems projects conducted by the Buckley AFB 460 Civil Engineering Squadron that impact the SBIRS mission.
  • Provides information gathered from incoming mission programs to help CES forecast power requirements for the RA and the whole base.
  • Leads analysis of technical engineering support for requirements involving existing and planned infrastructure/communications upgrades, enhancements or modifications in support of the AF 1067 process.


Electrical Installations:



  • Install various electrical devices, including receptacles, cables, and circuit breakers, to power communication racks and other mission-critical devices.


Collaborative Meetings:



  • Attend meetings with the commander of the 460 Mission Group to support Restricted Area projects and other SBIRS facility modification-related initiatives.


Mission Support:



  • Supports facility modification-related meetings, evaluate upgrades/modifications, review AF 1067 modification requests, and determine schedules for various upgrades on facility and mission systems for the SBIRS/OPIR covered buildings.
  • Supports SBIRS/OPIR Mission miscellaneous requirements like photography of personnel, meetings, awards, promotions; load calculations for power requirements of different functionals and any other tasks by upper management.
  • Provide Configuration Management support along with working with rack and quarterly power audits/ power loads calculations. Utilize CM Software to provide cable routing and lengths to the customer "real" time.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related field, preferably Electrical, Certified Electrician.
  • Required experience of at least 5 years as an electrical engineer to properly perform the job: Three (3) years to become familiar with the quirks and demands of the job, over 3 years to effectively perform. Professional Engineering license preferred.
  • Clearance: TS/SCI


Pay range:$152,880 to $159,120 per year
