Job Description

This engineering management position, as it relates to Process specific execution efforts, will plan, organize, and direct engineering teams to meet business objectives for solutions design and development. Responsible for overall revenue and gross margin targets, customer satisfaction index targets, and other business objectives in their territorial area of responsibility. They oversee engineering resources for on-schedule, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery of engineering solutions. Additionally, you will implement systems projects and orders to meet the highest professional standards within schedule and cost plans, while assuring overall customer satisfaction. The engineering manager owns team resource planning such as assigning direct reports to projects, assessing overall staffing levels, and maximizing utilization performance. You will manage all employees in the department and is responsible for all hiring, performance management, and career development activities. You will report to the North America Process Business Manager and have a hybrid schedule working in Milwaukee, WI or Mayfield Heights, OH or any one of Rockwell's business locations in the United States.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Drive adherence to meeting overall revenue, standard margin, customer satisfaction, and other associated business objectives.
  • Drive the LCS delivery strategy, direct management of their team, and all other delivery related execution responsibilities.
  • Establish, and maintain effective communication lines and working relationships with other LCS business segments, customers, commercial teams, functional support teams, leadership teams, and employees.
  • Maintain resource utilization and to coordinate resource sharing with peers and other LCS business segments.
  • Implement strategic employee development plans to support business delivery goals and communicate with management staff and employees on performance and development needs.
  • Coordinate with commercial teams to improve growth in orders intake, and growth in customer relationships related to strategic initiatives.
  • Mentor other managers, engineers, and technical staff to leverage business standard processes for consistent project delivery.
  • Responsible for project staffing while maximizing the combination of SME, low cost, and variable workforce solutions. The right resource for the right role.
  • Responsible for project execution success within their portfolio including financial, customer satisfaction, quality, standards adherence, and safety.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent years of experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
  • The ability to travel 10% of the time.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • 5+ years of management or leadership experience
  • Champion innovation in solutions offerings by creating differentiation aligned with commercial strategy and driving LCS services expansion.
  • Provide leadership in decision-making and problem-solving to ensure successful business segment performance.
  • Promotes a team environment and positions them for success by taking ownership of communications internally and externally with customers.
  • Maintains relationships across the organization as well as with customers to allow for effective execution of company strategy.
