Job Description

This position plays a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere by greeting and seating all guests with warmth, professionalism, and courtesy. As the first point of contact, the hostess sets the tone for the guest experience, ensuring smooth transitions from arrival to seating while maintaining a high standard of service and hospitality.



Responsibilities

    Greet guests warmly upon arrival, offering a pleasant smile and exceptional customer service.

  • Seat guests by locating a clean, available table, pulling out chairs, and placing clean menus in front of them.

  • Answer the phone and record reservations for large parties.

  • Manage the flow of guests outside the restaurant, ensuring smooth transitions during busy times.

  • Monitor dining areas for seating availability, as well as the service, safety, and well-being of guests.

  • Assist servers as needed to ensure seamless operations.

  • Thank each guest upon departure, invite them to return, and extend a warm farewell.



Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.

  • Prior host experience is preferred.

  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods or throughout an entire shift.

  • Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10lbs without assistance.

  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Ability to obtain TABC certification upon hire.

  • Ability to obtain Food Handler's certification upon hire.
