Description Who we are looking for: Atkore, a recipient of a Great Place to Work certification and a Top Workplaces USA award, is searching for a Slitter Helper to be based out of our Phoenix, AZ facility. Reporting to the shift supervisor, this person will be responsible for efficient bundling of product, using banding tools and other equipment to complete production. This person will need to work with the production team to communicate issues and ensure quality production. What you'll do: Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Read and understand detailed work orders. Work with urgency while maintaining a professional attitude to meet customer demand and standards. Comply with all policies and procedures set forth by Atkore's Safety and Quality guidelines. Accurately completed required production and labor reporting paperwork. Set up over arms to specification. Tape or band all slit coils Monitor chips from chopper to scrap conveyor. Mark all slit steel for defects. Assist in feeding the steel through the slitter. Remove completed banded slit coils from recoiler to the turnstile with coil car. Other duties as assigned. What you'll bring: Manufacturing experience preferred. Within 3 months, you'll: Complete initial training. Be able to troubleshoot production issues.
