Summary: The Reliability Technician will be responsible for preventive maintenance and repairing equipment in our manufacturing facility. This position requires a high level of independent judgment to diagnose problems; make repairs or adjustments as needed. This role has a great deal of impact on production hours and costs. The technician must also ensure all activities are completed safely and in compliance with regulations. We have multiple shifts available (2nd and 3rd shift openings).

Responsibilities:
* Perform daily inspections of production equipment to identify potential safety hazards, malfunctions, or other issues that could affect productivity or quality.
* Diagnose faulty equipment and determine necessary repairs using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and manual instruments such as calipers and dial bore indicators.
* Disassemble damaged machines and replace defective parts while adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
* Reassemble equipment after repairs and perform testing to ensure proper functionality.
* Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as lubricating moving parts, replacing worn belts, and cleaning out debris from machinery.
* Monitor equipment performance metrics to identify trends and patterns related to breakdowns or downtime.
* Document maintenance activities and record data on equipment performance, repairs, and spare part usage.
* Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to implement effective solutions for complex equipment issues.
* Maintain inventory of replacement parts and order new supplies when necessary.
* Stay up-to-date with advancements in technology and equipment design to provide innovative solutions to equipment challenges.

Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent education preferred.
* Three years of relevant experience in industrial maintenance or apprenticeship program completion required.
* Strong knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic mechanical principles essential.
* Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
* Ability to work independently and take initiative in addressing equipment issues.
* Familiarity with automated equipment and computerized controls desirable.
* Experience working with precision measuring tools like micrometers, dial bore indicators, and calipers advantageous.
* Physically fit and capable of performing strenuous tasks involving heavy lifting, bending, and climbing.
* Willingness to participate in training programs and continuing education opportunities to enhance technical expertise.
