OVERVIEW

Merrick is seeking an experienced Project Manager with eight (8) years or more of experience in industrial projects such as shipyard facilities and construction project management. Projects will be focused with industrial manufacturing with our clients in Newport News, Virginia. The successful candidate will be on-site support at Newport News Shipbuilding and will support all aspects of our Industrial Manufacturing practice, focused on shipyard facility projects. The individual will be responsible for projects related to scale ups, capacity expansions, facility upgrades, and manufacturing projects to support the Newport News office. This position will be on site in Newport News, VA, not at a Merrick office.

Typical annual pay range for this position is $102,000.00 - $132,000.00. Pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, and experience.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

The successful Project Manager will work in a dynamic multi-discipline environment. The PM will manage projects located in Newport News, VA and provide coverage for planning, construction and management of complex designs. The PM will be responsible for the execution and financial management of projects with typical engineering fees that can be expected to range from small to larger projects. The individual will oversee client contractors and serve as the primary interface with the manufacturing client stakeholders. Individual may create RFQs, Project Plans, HLFEs and other related client tasks.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Extensive experience working successfully in a collaborative, multi-discipline environment.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in industrial manufacturing and related process industries.
  • Expertise that encompasses client development, proposal support, planning, estimating, scheduling, project controls, and multi-discipline project execution.
  • Experience working in an engineering services and construction environment.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or related discipline.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable under Merrick's insurance carrier.
