Application Window Open date: April 3, 2025 Next review date: Thursday, Apr 17, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Monday, May 5, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The Quantitative Ecosystem Dynamics group in the Department of Environmental Science, Policy, and Management at UC Berkeley is looking for an Assistant Professional Researcher who will contribute to multiple ongoing projects in the group, with a particular emphasis on ecohydrology and the use of remote sensing observations to infer hydrological controls on ecosystem function. The Quantitative Ecosystem Dynamics Lab studies terrestrial ecosystems and how they respond to climate variability and long-term change, as well as related feedbacks to the atmosphere through ecosystem carbon sequestration, water use and energy flows. The Assistant Professional Researcher in this role will also be expected to maintain an active, independent research agenda in the field of eddy covariance and remote sensing science. Research should focus on the collection, processing, and/or analysis of eddy covariance and remote sensing data with the goal of improving understanding of ecosystem greenhouse gas emissions. The Researcher will be expected to collaborate locally, as well as domestic and international colleagues conducting flux research.
