This position is primarily remote but may require occasional in-person meetings for critical needs with advanced notice. The selected applicant must live within commuting distance of Washington, D.C.

US Citizenship and the ability to pass and maintain a Federal government (Public Trust) clearance is required for this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Manages software development and support using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, other accepted design techniques, and CASE tools
  • Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments
  • Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks
  • Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems
  • Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable developing and maintaining technical documentation and related artifacts
  • Analyzes and studies complex system requirements developing, modifying, and estimating the level of effort to complete user stories during sprint planning sessions
  • Designs software tools and subsystems to support software reuse and domain analyses and manages their implementation
  • Reviews existing programs and assists in making refinements, reducing operating time, and improving current techniques


REQUIRED SKILLS:



  • At least 4 years of JavaScript and Node.js experience with a BS degree; OR at least 6 years of experience with a Formal IT Certification
  • Experience in applying comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments
  • Experience planning major technology assignments and recommends major changes affecting project growth and success
  • Experience applying technical expertise across multiple project assignments
  • 2-3 years experience developing React components and applications
  • 2-3 years experience with Docker containers
  • 2-3 years experience developing cloud-native applications in an AWS environment


EDUCATION:



  • BS degree or Formal IT Certification

Internal title/grade: Software Engineer, E2
Salary range: $95,000 - $105,000

All individuals being hired to work for TCG must submit to, and successfully pass, a pre-employment background investigation prior to reporting for their first day of work. The pre-employment background investigation will include verification of employment and education, as well as, a criminal and DMV check.

Additional documentation and background checks will also be required for positions that require clearance from the Federal government.
