Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join our team. This role involves managing daily logistics operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of freight quotes, and maintaining effective communication with internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities: * Plan, organize, and manage daily logistics tasks to meet organizational requirements. * Process freight quote requests by coordinating with carriers, brokers, and 3PLs. * Review and inspect Orders/BOLs for accuracy in item counts, weights, freight class, and delivery instructions. * Maintain accurate records of freight quotes, Bill of Ladings, and shipments. * Ensure correct batches are utilized and resolve error messages. * Coordinate and schedule order pickups with customers and authorized freight carriers. * Collaborate with internal and external customers to understand their freight logistics needs. * Maintain effective communication across departments, resolving issues promptly. * Oversee freight carrier activities, review proposals, and develop performance specifications. * Develop and document freight quotes/proposals. * Monitor and control freight carriers to maximize value and minimize costs. * Maintain and update freight documents for Sales, Customer Service, and Purchasing. * Research and resolve freight logistic problems and inconsistencies. * Proactively communicate and coordinate with other departments to resolve shipping issues. * Perform coordinator duties, including training employees on freight logistics. * Run and monitor daily/weekly reports to prioritize shipments and ensure on-time accuracy. * Review daily transfers of products from other warehouses and confirm actual transfers. * Coordinate with various departments to manage order picking requirements and carrier pick-up schedules. * Maintain status reports on overdue and potential overdue freight pick-ups and deliveries. * Review open orders after daily invoicing and coordinate schedule modifications as needed. * Confirm customer orders 48 hours prior to ship date. * Audit scanned copies of shipping documents with Daily Shipment Report. * Notify relevant managers and colleagues of delays and discrepancies. * Meet key performance indicators to support department and company goals. * Adhere to policies, procedures, and work instructions. * Perform other assignments as assigned by management. Skills: * Logistics support, customer service, Microsoft Office, freight forwarding, shipping and receiving, inventory control. Top Skills: * Logistics support, customer service, Microsoft Office. Qualifications: Must Haves: * 2 to 4 years of direct experience in shipping, receiving, freight logistics, inventory control, or production. * High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). Nice to Haves: * Experience within a GMP manufacturing environment. Skills and Competencies: * Ability to follow written and oral instructions and maintain follow-through on assignments. * Decision-making and problem-solving skills. * Knowledge of freight logistics for LTL, FTL, CPU, etc. * Ability to work independently and solve problems. * Multi-tasking, prioritization, and time management skills. * Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SAGE/ERP, CRM, TMS/WMS, Starship. * Strong organizational, communication, and people skills. * Basic math skills. * Knowledge of labeling and shipping compliance, government laws, and regulations. * Adaptability to a changing work environment. Experience Level: * Entry Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
