Job Summary |
Coordinate recycling, waste reduction, and solid waste programs for Auburn University. |
Essential Functions |
Level I and Level II:
- Coordinates strategies, monitors recycling and solid waste programs and implements plans for recycling and solid waste services.
- Plans, develops and executes new recycling and waste reduction initiatives on campus.
- May oversee the disposition of hazardous waste generated by the University and the Facilities Division in compliance with university policies/procedures and federal and state rules and regulations.
- Monitors awarded grants, including coordinating the filing and record keeping requirements of the grant and budget tracking.
- Promotes recycling, waste reduction and solid waste to faculty, staff, students, and the university community through education, outreach and training programs.
- Assists with writing, editing and proofreading text of grants.
- Creates, maintains, and monitors spreadsheets, databases and tracking programs.
- Writes, proofs and edits departmental website.
- Plans, organizes and participates in special events and meetings, as well as participation at conferences or trade shows.
- Prepares reports on the effectiveness and value of the recycling and waste reduction programs.
- May be responsible for other related duties as assigned.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Management, Business Administration, or related field
Experience: No experience required
Level II: Education: Bachelor's Degree in Management, Business Administration, or related field
Experience:
2 years of experience in administrative support services |
