Benjamin Moore is seeking a Maintenance & Reliability Intern to join our team in Montvale, NJ. The intern will contribute to various projects aimed at improving equipment reliability by enhancing our Maintenance & Reliability Program. This role will primarily focus on optimizing the existing Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and its utilization index, utilizing data analytics, improving preventive maintenance tasks, and conducting root cause failure analysis.

This position presents an exceptional opportunity for an individual eager to gain insights into process operations, demonstrate organizational skills, and learn about production equipment. The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills to effectively share Maintenance and Reliability concepts with a diverse audience. This role is ideally suited for someone with excellent problem-solving abilities and a background in Engineering or equipment maintenance and reliability improvement.



Responsibilities

    Support overall Maintenance & Reliability Program
  • CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) KPI review and analysis
  • Collaboration with five manufacturing sites
  • Support development of Maintenance & Reliability standards, guidelines, and procedures
  • Support improvements in Maintenance related OEE (overall equipment effectiveness)
  • Highlighting best practices and opportunities based on industry best practices
  • Support PM and Task reviews/updates


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (or demonstrated progress toward a degree) in a related field of study.
  • Strong learning aptitude for equipment reliability and maintenance principles including data analysis techniques and statistical interpretation skills.
  • Basic Materials Science including material selection and properties, lubrication and fundamentals of interpreting oil analysis results and vibration analysis.
  • Strong learning aptitude to learn and understanding of Spare Parts Management Program.
  • Ability to occasionally visit manufacturing facility and engaged with site's maintenance team.
  • Problem-solving skills: RCA experience preferred.
  • Strong ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels in the organization.
