Tufts University School of Dental Medicine (TUSDM) offers one of the most forward-looking educational environments in dental medicine in the country. What You'll Do

Under minimal supervision, the Administrative Coordinator:

  • Drafts composite Dean's recommendation letters for all Tufts Predoctoral and alumni applying for residency programs, each academic year. Requires checking each applicant's ethics and professionalism and academic histories.
  • Write letters of recommendations for students applying for ADEA and ADA scholarships.
  • Provide support to Director of Predoctoral Education and Assessment in their role as Chair of the Curriculum Committee. Support includes scheduling and attending meetings, writing and transmitting minutes, preparing agenda.
  • Supports the chair of OAC (Outcome Assessment Committee). Attends meetings and provides input on data collection particularly the annual Graduating Senior Exit Survey and the Alumni Survey.
  • Assists with CODA Annual Surveys for Advanced Education and Predoctoral Programs to ensure accuracy and on-time submission.
  • Provides assistance to the Academic Affairs Program Administrator to:
    • Develop and manage schedules, teams, and assignments
    • Supervise catering services for faculty teams for each session.
    • Track student attendance after sessions.
    • Manage the clearance process for senior students.
    • Assists the supervisor with managing room reservations
    • Other duties as assigned.

    What We're Looking For

    Basic Requirements:

    • Knowledge and skills as typically acquired through completion of a High school diploma/GED and 5+ years of administrative experience OR a bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience.
    • Requires advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including word processing, editing and graphics functions, spreadsheet and database knowledge.
    • Bookkeeping or basic accounting knowledge and excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
    • Individual must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to handle the high volume of patients and students that come through the office.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in a health care setting.

    Special Work Schedule Requirements:

    This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week onsite and 2 remote.


    Pay Range

    Minimum $26.70, Midpoint $31.80, Maximum $36.80

    Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
