Kaytee (Central Garden & Pet) is currently looking for a 2nd Shift Machine Operator -to join our team at Kaytee in Chilton, WI. In this role you will be responsible for setting up and running machines, palletizers and scales. This role follows a four-day, 10-hour schedule (3 pm to 1 am) from Monday to Thursday, offering a long weekend every week!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Start machine, make adjustments as necessary and perform necessary troubleshooting.
- Perform efficient machine set-up.
- Maintain communication with mixers, line associates and during shift change.
- Comply with all safety rules and company policies
- Train new and existing line personnel and backups.
- Perform inspection of bags for quality seals.
- Complete paperwork in an accurate and efficient manner.
- Maintain work area in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Understand and know the goals and objectives of the department.
- Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
- Responsible for reporting any Food Safety issues to authorized personnel for correction.
IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES
- Must have the ability to stand, bend, twist, turn and climb.
- Ability to operate forklift and handcart in a safe manner.
- Must have the ability to lift up to 105 lbs. with assistance.
- Possess solid organizational skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS
- This role involves working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures. Requires the ability to lift, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Additionally, there may be instances where lifting or moving items weighing 50-100 pounds is necessary, with assistance. Regular physical activities such as climbing, lifting, bending, standing, walking, twisting, turning, and reaching with arms and hands are also required.
