NC State Wellness and Recreation is seeking energetic and responsible individual to assist in managing the operations of the Wellness and Recreation Center. This is a temporary, seasonal, part-time position starting May 5, 2025, and ending August 15, 2025. The position reports to the Assistant Director, Facilities.
Facility Management: Utilize daily operational software and databases, including Fusion, Connect2Concepts, Occuspace, and WhenToWork. Serve as the Facility Supervisor during scheduled shifts. Staff Recruitment and Onboarding: Assist in the hiring and onboarding processes for new Facility Assistants and Facility Supervisors. Scheduling & Management: Support the creation and management of student staff schedules for Facility Assistants and Facility Supervisors. Continuous Education: Aid in the planning and execution of ongoing education activities, including monthly staff meetings. Training & Development: Contribute to the planning and execution of the annual start-of-semester training program (August Welcome Back Training). Emergency Response: Execute prompt and effective emergency response procedures, following the Wellness and Recreation Emergency Action Plan. Facility Maintenance and Cleanliness: Perform routine preventative maintenance, including cleaning tasks, to maintain a safe and sanitary aquatic environment. Facility Inspection and Reporting: Conduct regular inspections of the facility and equipment, promptly reporting any unsafe conditions or malfunctions. Policy Enforcement and Education: Enforce established guidelines and swimming rules, educating patrons on safe aquatic practices. Operational Support: Assist with daily opening and closing procedures, ensuring the facility is prepared for operation. Policy Compliance and Implementation: Demonstrate a thorough understanding and consistent enforcement of Wellness and Recreation and area-specific policies and guidelines. Emergency Action Plan Proficiency: Maintain a comprehensive understanding and readiness to implement the facility's Emergency Action Plan.
