Alaka`ina Foundation A Family of Companies (FOC) is looking a Facilities Maintenance Branch Supervisor - Public Works supporting our government customer in Kekaha, Hawai'i.

DESCRIPTION OR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the coordination of operations, maintenance and repair of Buildings and Structures, Potable Water, Wastewater Treatment and Compressed Air Systems. Provides a variety of services for planning and executing facility improvements at PMRF.

  • Generates preventative (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) plans and reports for building systems and structures.

  • Schedules and coordinates a workforce to fulfill the preventative and corrective maintenance plans.

  • Monitors and reviews personnel performance and provides subordinates with counseling and guidance as needed.

  • Reviews, revises, and updates procedures for the appropriate sections.

  • Ensure jobs are properly scheduled, completed on time, and accomplished within budget.

  • Enforces company's work and safety rules.

  • On-call for any utility issues (except electrical) that may occur at all hours.

  • Develops plans for improvements to facilities.

  • Provides technical expertise at management meetings.

  • Performs other duties as required.

Office conditions are varied and includes physical tasks including lifting, pushing or pulling over 50 pounds, with two-man assist. Physical positions will include but not be limited to walking, standing, or sitting for extended periods of time, crawling, kneeling, stooping or cramped working places and work requiring repeated or frequent climbing. Environment will include customer contact, extended workday, confined work area, an office laboratory with field assignments, sometimes in inclement weather.

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred in Engineering from an accredited college or university. (Equivalent work experience may be substituted for a degree)
  • CDL (desired)

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of five (5) years supervisory experience in related field is required.
  • Must be proficient in the use of personal computers using Microsoft Suite of programs.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Experience in the use of Maximo preferred.

REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:

Must be a U.S. Citizen Secret Security Clearance Required (Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment.)
