Job Summary

The Manufacturing Quality Engineer will provide engineering capability to operational and development Programs to enable and deliver zero defects projects utilizing engineering and problem solving skills. Accountable for delivering robust, capable manufacturing process technology as it applies to materials, tooling, part fabrication and assembly.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining business compliance to Customer, 3rd Party (AS9100, NADCAP etc) and Regulatory (FAA etc) requirement
  • Ownership & Continuous Improvement of the business Quality Management System
  • Verification of compliance to business Quality Management System via various audit methodologies
  • Coordination and administration of records retention processes.
  • Perform supplier audits & assessments.
  • Resolve issues pertaining to vendor schedule and/or quality including.
  • Utilize root cause analysis, preventative and corrective action to reduce/eliminate non-conformances.
  • Creation, maintenance and continuous improvement of Program Quality Plans. Maintain positive, team relationships with internal and external customers, as well as co-workers.
  • Continuously improve production processes by implementing Lean initiatives
  • Performs other duties, tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications:



  • B.S. degree in Engineering, or in lieu of degree 6+ years of experience in a quality engineering environment.
  • 2+ years' quality experience in a manufacturing environment, including root cause methodologies experience, experience using ispection equipment and the ability to read, write and comprehend blueprints
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations and /or program requirements.



Additional Qualifications:



  • Aerostructures (metallics and/or composites) experience preferred.
  • Relentless and results driven performer with a Continuous Improvement mind-set using lean tools and Techniques (Practical Problem solving, A3, PFEMA and/or Fishbone diagrams)
  • Familiarity with AS9145 APQP process or equivalent.
  • Certified auditor preferered
  • A dynamic individual with a high level of energy, a proactive self-starter who is confident and able to work independently.
