OverviewSupports the analysis, planning, coordination, and implementation to strategic initiatives, performance improvement activities, and projects identified by the Chief Executive Officer and the various strategic business units across the VNS Health organization. Assists department senior management with tracking implementation and monitoring effectiveness of organizational changes, including designing analytical approaches, data collection and analysis, report writing, tracking project tasks, and helping to ensure the overall success of the department. Works closely with other functions to support aligning strategy and business operations with health policy changes. Works under supervision.

What You Will Do

  • Maintains a strong understanding of all VNS Health strategic business objectives and business unit operations.
  • Provides support for a range of projects, across three areas: business advisement/optimization, transformation, and corporate strategic planning. Assists department's senior management with business issues, designing project approaches, and solution design.
  • Supports the scope of smaller projects and actively participates on a number of other projects, including developing project plans, and ensuring forward momentum of projects toward stated goals. Tracks and monitors project work plans, including objectives, tasks and time frames to ensure deliverables are completed on time. Review project statuses and communicate any issues or concerns to senior leadership. Responds to changing project circumstances and communicates issues to project leadership.
  • Participates in interdepartmental workgroups as needed in support of performance improvement projects. Develops positive working relationships with teams across VNS Health organization. Provides facilitation support at meetings as required.
  • Collects and analyzes data to support various projects and performance improvement initiatives. Summarizes, creates, and distributes reports, memos, and other communications.
  • Demonstrates department's commitment to excellent customer service through prompt response to all internal and external customers. Represents the department's capabilities and mission effectively to internal and external customers.
  • Participates in the design and delivery of presentations on project status and outcomes to management.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or related field required
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or related field preferred

Work Experience:

  • Minimum three years progressive experience in consulting, health care operations, health policy, or related discipline required or
  • Two years progressive experience and a Master's Degree in Public Health, Business Administration, Public Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field required
  • Proficient with personal computers, including Microsoft Windows Excel, Word, Access, and Power Point required
  • Project management and facilitation skills required
