GE Booth - Electrical Design Engineer

The George E. Booth Co., a manufacturer's representative partner of Endress+Hauser Inc., is a family-owned and operated industrial automation sales company looking to hire their next full-time Electrical Design Engineer in Indianapolis, IN.
What is the role about?

The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical design, knowledge of industrial automation, and an understanding of control systems. PLC programming experience is a plus, as there may be opportunities to assist with in-shop programming.

Which tasks will you perform?

• Design electrical schematics and control panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Develop wiring diagrams, BOMs, and other documentation to support panel builds and system integration.
• Work closely with panel fabrication team to ensure designs meet project specifications.
• Collaborate with the automation team to integrate control system components.
• Maintain design standards and best practices for electrical drawings.
• Assist in in-shop PLC programming when opportunities arise.

What do we expect from you?
You will have (required):

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Automation, or related field
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical.
• Experience in electrical design for industrial automation, control panels, or related systems
• Knowledge of electrical codes and standards (UL 508A, NEC, etc.).
• Ability to create accurate and detailed electrical schematics
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Must be willing to travel locally and have a clean driving record.

You may have (preferred):

• PLC programming experience
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor
