The Role

Our banking and financial services group is looking for a Consulting Manager, Banking & Financial Services to join our journey. We're looking for someone who excels in project management in the banking and financial services domain.

We're looking for Consulting Managers who can deliver within Cognizant's Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. As a Senior Consultant, this means partnering with clients and project stakeholders, and colleagues. Responsibilities

* Based on experience, support or own and manage one or more project workstream(s), including deliverables, while adhering to budget, timelines, and client engagement guidelines;

* Partner with clients and project stakeholders and apply technical and domain expertise to solve core client business challenges or inefficiencies; this may include leading and managing small solutioning teams to accomplish the above

* Collaborate with Product Owner (PO) and Tech Owners (TO) to support the creation of Product Vision, Roadmap, and Backlogs

* Partner with PO and TO on monthly progress updates

* Plan, facilitate and summarize new Product Increment planning events (done each quarter)

* Help manage risks and dependencies across workstreams

* Escalate and track impediments across workstreams

* Provide input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks

* Provide Dashboard reporting on project status, issues and risks

* Will be required to drive developing business requirements, process flows, use cases, test plans and other work streams related activities and artifacts.

* Leads and manages all aspects of project planning within and across related projects including scope, budget, financial forecasting, and scheduling.

* Monitors project and/or program execution and escalates project risks and issues early.

* Facilitates adoption of business process changes and leads project team and stakeholders through effective change management

* Develops detailed training, communication and rollout plans and manages business process changes

* Leads integration of multiple upstream and downstream data interfaces

* Manages time bound regulatory compliance projects impacting critical business functions

* Develop practice capabilities and brand recognition by exercising thought leadership, establishing a consultative presence within Cognizant and the wider consulting community, and participating in professional organizations;

Qualifications

  • 15 + years working in technology, consulting, professional services, or solution development within the banking/financial services industry
  • High level of organization, communication, and critical thinking

* Onsite Requirements: 3 days onsite at client location in Plano, TX

Work Authorization

* Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship (H-1B, L-1B, L-1A, etc.)

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $110,000 - $149,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
