Job Description:

Provides services to patients that are amenable to treatment with this modality. Documents care provided and communicates with referral sources and other treating providers as needed.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Provides patient care.
    • Develop, implement and evaluate the patient plan of care based on individual needs including age specific and learning style needs.
    • Documents patient information and outcome specific care provided.
    • Educates patient and families as needed regarding treatment and follow through.
  • Facilitates collaborative relationships.
    • Coordinates with the interdisciplinary team to enhance patient care.
    • Participate on quality improvement initiatives, research projects or other initiatives as needed.
    • Promote the goals and vision of Acupuncture as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Vocational or Technical Training - M.S. and/or M.O.M from an accredited institution
  • 2+ years in acupuncture

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years in a hospital or medical clinic based environment

Licenses/Certifications

  • Must meet at least ONE of the requirements below:
    * BLS certification from the American Heart Association
    * BLS certification from the American Red Cross
    * Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire)
  • Minnesota Acupuncture License upon hire required
  • National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine upon hire required

Physical Demands

  • Light Work:
  • Lifting weight Up to 20 lbs. occasionally, Up to 10 lbs. frequently

Pay Range

Pay Range: $45.40 to $62.82 per hour The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
