Job Purpose

Reporting to the Manager of the UNY Operational Controls team, you will play a key role in supporting our Gas Field Operations and Customer Meter Services team across Upstate New York. This role is expected to provide insightful data analysis, interpretation and reporting for operational support.

The key individual will need to understand the business drivers that impact end-to-end processes, including regulatory, compliance, operational, and stakeholder engagement

Key Accountabilities
  • Track, review and analyze data to identify key trends and areas of opportunity
  • Ensure compliance and rate case requirements are successfully implemented and sustained within the Operations organization
  • Work closely with Customer Metering Services and Gas Field Operations to identify improvement opportunities
  • Create, maintain and facilitate cross functional hubs for relevant processes, such as coordinating crossover work between teams
  • Support end-to-end compliance framework for the Upstate New York Gas Field Operations and Customer Meter Services teams and drive improvements
  • Create and execute key performance indicators (KPI's) to drive data-driven decision making and achieve continuous improvement
  • Review daily reporting to identify any accounts that are approaching compliance due date or past due and escalate to respective area to be worked
  • Manage systems for scheduling and tracking completion to ensure compliance, including Driving Records, Public Building Inspections, Fixed Factor Inspections, Service Line Inspections and Soft Off processes
  • Overseeing fleet retirement data and facilitating the acquisition of replacement vehicles
  • Review the procurement metrics and confirm all purchases within UNY Gas Operations
  • Ability to take on additional projects to support business needs
  • Ability to responds and react to emergency response events during normal business hours or off hours
Qualifications
  • People-oriented person, who is comfortable working with and challenging a broad range of stakeholders
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with demonstrable experience of applying them in technical and business report writing and the development and delivery of presentations
  • At least 2 years of relevant work order experience
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Knowledge of PowerBI and PowerApps
  • Ability to plan, evaluate and improve the efficiency of business processes and procedures to enhance speed, quality and output
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to analyze information and synthesize themes and trends
  • Demonstrated ability to meet time/date driven mandates
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Experience in managing multiple projects with competing deadlines and priorities
  • Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and effectiveness

Salary

$97,000 - $114,000 a year

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.

Please be advised that due to the nature of this position, incumbents are subject to federal Drug & Alcohol safety regulations governing US Department of Transportation ("DOT") covered positions, including the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Pipeline Hazardous Material Safety Administration (PHMSA). As such, the Company's testing programs and policies regarding the use of federally prohibited drugs or alcohol, for recreational or medical purposes, will remain in effect for these safety-sensitive, DOT covered positions.
