Daikin Applied is seeking a Temporary Senior HR Project Manager! The project will focus on State Paid Family Leave (PFL) analysis and provide our HR leadership team with recommendations relating to policy changes and implementation choices. Location: Hybrid - Plymouth, MN

What you will do:



  • Identify PFL Program Current State


    • Identify current leave and disability programs, applicable vendors and benefits
    • Engage / leverage existing vendor benefit partners for information and resources
    • Summarize new laws and regulations coming 1/1/2026
    • Determine how existing programs may interact with the new MN PFL
    • What is current state of leave/disability in other locations (besides MN)


  • Evaluation of State Plan vs. Private Plan Options

    • Engage broker and disability benefit providers to explore private options, costs and benefits
    • Identify pros and cons of private plan vs. state plan
    • If applicable, consider RFP to further explore private plan costs and benefits
    • Benchmarking


  • Make Recommendations

    • What should be outsourced, vs. insourced, including Private vs. State Plan recommendation for MN
    • Outline specific changes needed/recommended
    • Scope of changes (MN only or broader)


  • Determine policy, roles, process and procedures

    • Develop project plan to govern policy development, procedures, and training
    • Facilitate policy development and edits
    • Assist with procedures design


  • Communication and Change Management

    • Develop communications project plan to include all stakeholder populations
    • Draft communications (HR. Manager, Employee)


  • Deliverables

    • Analysis of how to move forward to comply with MN Paid Family Leave
    • Analysis of options in other states (those with similar state leave laws and potentially those with no leave laws currently)
    • Recommendation for changes /updates to leave policies and programs, such as Short Term Disability, and how the various types of leave should work together
    • Recommend communication plan

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience
  • 7+ Years of related HR Program Experience


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Strong background in Paid Family Leave (PFL) Programs
  • Master's Degree in business, HR, or similar

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $43.27 - $68.12 in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
