National Grid is hiring a Senior Analyst, General Counsel Operations, for our In-House Legal Team. This position can be located in our Brooklyn, NY, Waltham, MA or Syracuse, NY office, with hybrid working.

Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Analyst to support the Manager of General Counsel (GC) Operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on technology and process automation and will be responsible for providing back-end support for all digital products and legal technology. Additionally, the Senior Analyst will generate insights, forecasting, and identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and ensure compliance within our organization.

Key Accountabilities

Support Processes, Systems & Technology:
* Assist in supporting the US legal operations function, focusing on technology, training, and process automation.
* Collaborate with legal team members and GC Operations colleagues to assess current processes and identify areas for improvement and automation.
* Develop and produce comprehensive metrics and reports related to the performance, utilization, and efficiency of the organization's legal tech stack, ensuring data accuracy and relevance to support strategic decision-making.
* Support the evaluation, development, and implementation of technology solutions to streamline legal operations, including matter management, contract automation systems, e-billing platforms, and other legal tools.
* Provide back-end support for all digital products and legal tech, ensuring proper functionality and integration.
* Collaborate with IT and finance departments to align legal technology initiatives with overall organizational goals and objectives.
* Stay updated on the latest legal technology trends and best practices and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
* Foster strong relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring effective partnerships and cost-effective solutions.

Communications and Engagement:
* Effectively communicate legal requirements and updates related to our digital products, enhancing user engagement and ensuring compliance across the team.
* Develop strategies to streamline legal processes and documentation, making it easier for internal and external stakeholders to understand and interact with our digital offerings.
* Provide expert guidance and support during the development and launch of new digital products, ensuring all communications contribute to a positive user experience.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Technology or a related field.

* 3+ years qualifying experienceas a Legal Operations Analyst or in a similar role, with a focus on technology.

* In-depth knowledge of legal tech solutions and a keen interest in Generative AI.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify process improvement opportunities and implement effective solutions.
* Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
* Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
* Familiarity with legal compliance and regulatory requirements is preferred.

$106k - $130k a year in Brooklyn, NY.

$99k - $122k a year in Waltham, MA.

$88k- $108k a year in Syracuse, NY.

Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
