Job Description
The Director, Strategic Growth - Health Innovation & Partnerships is an entrepreneur at their core and has experience moving ideas from concept to commercialization to scaling. In this role you will need to be comfortable with both native pursuits, as well as navigating strategic partnerships. The Director will have a balanced blend of sales mindset as they solicit potential partners/collaborators, possibilities mindset in developing solutions that may be new to world, and execution mindset in speed to action and willingness to pivot. Successful candidates will embrace uncertainty, is willing to break and challenge rules, while understanding and leveraging the limitations and opportunities of the environment in which they operate. Familiarity with the healthcare space (payor, healthcare system, solution provider, pharmaceuticals) is critical for this role and having a passion for developing solutions for consumers (Human and/or Pet) at the intersection of food and health and wellbeing. The Director, Strategic Growth - Health Innovation & Partnerships will:
- Own and drive new revenue growth for General Mills at the intersection of food and health and wellbeing (products, services, partnerships, etc.)
- Responsible for developing, incubating and scaling new health and well-being focused businesses across Human and Pet
- Assess, create and optimize the capabilities needed to meet growth goals
- Work both independently and with the members of the Growth Studio team, inspiring them to find new ways to solve problems by asking questions that drive to new truths
- Partner with key components of the General Mills core business proactively, to enable achievement of the goals (revenue, strategy, culture)
- Lead through influence across all levels of General Mills

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or associated field
- 10+ years work experience, background in: Innovation - entrepreneurial approaches, launching new products, starting new businesses, or large-scale transformational change, Brand Management or P&L Ownership / General Management in a large corporate environment
- 3+ years' experience leading a business or capability vision and strategy, helping redefine an organization's capabilities with an eye towards achieving growth outcomes
- Strong leadership presence with an ability to build high-value, meaningful relationships at all levels
- Superior interpersonal, presentation and communication skills across all levels
- Deeply understands health insurance reimbursement and the overall healthcare system in the US and how to navigate it well
Preferred Qualifications
- Payor/Provider background or have worked in pharmaceuticals
- Have started and scaled a business in the health/wellbeing space to a meaningful size and/or have been one of the early hires in a startup that achieved scale
- Experience with creating new product and/or service offerings at the intersection of food and/or health and wellbeing spheres
- Experience in functional nutrition in Human or Pet
- Experience in direct-to-consumer/e-commerce, B2B and retail business models
Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $169700.00 - $254700.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
