The Impact You'll Make

At Lam, as an Accountant, you're central to managing and enhancing our accounting systems. With a keen eye for detail, you interpret financial reporting requirements, balance the books, and ensure accuracy of income and balance sheet statements. Your expertise extends to monthly report generation, supporting informed decision making. You contribute to Lam's financial accuracy and compliance.

What You'll Do

Key responsibilities may initially include:

* Coordinate and lead the execution of audit procedures related to financial reporting and consolidations.
* Work closely with the external auditor to facilitate quarterly reviews and year-end audits.
* Own the Internal Control Checklist process.
* Coordinate audits and other reporting needs across global organizations.
* Work with legal and tax teams to maintain and upgrade, as business conditions require, intercompany transactions policies and documentation.
* Monitor execution and review the recording of intercompany transactions.
* Perform analysis into intercompany variances.
* Support special projects which enable us to deliver on overall growth and profitability initiatives.
* Preparation of monthly consolidation/elimination related entries.
* Execute SAP system process tasks such as consolidation process, including US GAAP and IFRS currency translations.
* Assist others within the organization on intercompany issues.
* Support the internal finance organization and external auditors.
* Maintain compliance with defined SOX 404 controls.
* Challenge and standardize our reporting standards and methodology across all global regions.
* Identify areas of improvement or automation for reporting and consolidation processes and lead these initiatives.

Who We're Looking For

We are looking for a skilled and motivated accounting manager for our Global Consolidations and Control team. Our organization currently consolidates dozens of subsidiaries under US GAAP and IFRS accounting principles, including certain subsidiaries that do their day-to-day accounting outside of our corporate ERP system.

Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA or equivalent preferred
* Minimum 8 years of public accounting or progressive industry experience
* Requires strong written and oral communication skills in English
* System aptitude (SAP experience preferred, Alteryx experience helpful)
* Experience with US GAAP related to consolidated financial statements, with particular experience in foreign currency analysis.
* Attention to detail and problem-solving skills needed
* Self-motivated with a bias for action with strong analytical skills
* Ability to work well independently
* Must be flexible, organized, and able to work under time constraints
* Ability to interact at various levels within the organization

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
