Distribution Supervisor/Data Engineer

JOB SUMMARY / GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This position ensures systems are maintained at the highest efficiency level possible to prevent interruption and ensure safety. This position is a working warehouse supervisor position.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Other duties may be assigned. A teammate in this position must have the ability to:
• Manage, identify, prioritize and coordinate the daily activities of mission control team for maintenance dispatch.
• Manage the department to achieve desired results in productivity, teamwork, safety and task proficiency.
• Ensure the training and development of the team on all technical aspects including.
• Manage downloaded order fulfillment (picking goals, mark-outs, and replenishment goals).
• Create database management queries and reports for operations management.
• Utilize computerized system to optimize use of equipment via mining fault codes data on major equipment (Six Sigma approach or similar).
• Identify damaged rack locations and create an in-block for that location.
• Work with the maintenance department on schedule repairs to ensure uninterrupted picking by relocating product.
• Modify ANT software to move valuable, fragile or unsafe product to a secure pick zone.
• Interpret fault code data and interview operations and maintenance teams to determine if equipment should be replaced.
• Troubleshoot complex system wide outage or problems.
• Update and make changes to Custom Monitoring page.
• Monitor errors from VISU software and trend data looking for system improvements.
• Remotely support floor leads with simple dialog and computer issues.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

A teammate in this position must:

• Have one of the following: 2-year computer related degree, Bachelor's degree, or equivalent professional
  training and experience in computer science, computer engineering or electrical engineering.
• Have relevant IT certifications (UNIX, Linux, Oracle, etc.).
• Possess programming experience in Java, SQL, C++ or similar.
• Have minimum 2 years experience in IT troubleshooting (add HOST software type).
• Have networking experience a plus.
• Have industrial engineering experience a plus.
• Possess outstanding leadership qualities, including assertiveness, organization, enthusiasm, decisiveness, planning, confidence and accountability.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Have ability to work nights and weekends if critical system failures occur.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• The environment encompasses all areas of a Distribution Center including office environment.
• This position may require work in hot and cold temperature extremes and exposure to dust, dirt, fumes, noise, potentially harmful chemicals, solvents and components, and working in close to proximity to other teammates.
