Supervisor COS Development

Your main responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities:

Supervisor COS Development for Schindler Elevator Corporation at its Hanover, PA office.

Responsible for managing project with regard to product, product configuration, engineering, manufacturing technology and product cost management. Responsible for supervising automation of the Supply Chain (KW) Order Processing System from the receipt of Elevator Specification from Sales & Field (KG) to actual material orders. Ensure quality of KW ordering system, including BOM and configuration, and material readiness through heavy coordination with supply chain departments.

Primary duties and responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following:

* Define Component Ordering Specifications (COS) and ordering process within supply chain and manage the configuration development.

* Review R&D designs to identify changes in Component Order Specifications (COS).

* Coordinate with the Industrialization team and Supplier Development to ensure COS meets all requirements for manufacturing/purchasing.

* Coordinate with sourcing specialists and costing team to ensure COS cost structure is valid.

* Review & coordinate changes from COS to NCGen, Manufacturing BOM & VDAMP.

* Coordinate product changes with Product line configuration team to ensure clean handoff from sales tool (CAMOS) to KW order processing.

* Work with programmers from various global locations in order to implement configuration changes.

* Review & approve COS and any other specifications for VC programming to ensure that all changes are aligned on a system level prior to any implementation.

* Coordinate testing plan and sessions for the configuration system (backend only).

* Manage development and workload of two separate/interlinked teams - Requirements Engineering & SAP VC.

* Modify configuration related change management processes as needed while driving process compliance.

* Ownership of New product introduction in Supply Chain.

* Plan, lead and control assigned projects according to Schindler Product Cycle Process (PCP) including overseeing quality, project risk, communication and validation plans; claims management process; project documentation; ensuring deliverables are on time; and ensuring internal guidelines are followed.

* Organize workshops and follow up meetings with whole supply chain.

* Lead assigned project team to allocate tasks.

* Ensure NI projects / products have robust cost estimation process to meet production cost requirements with quality standards.

* Analyze and identify key areas of improvement and apply cost estimation techniques to drive cost reductions and improve operational processes and efficiency.

What you bring

Job requirements: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Management, or other closely related field of study; plus 5 years (60 months) of

experience in the offered position or other closely related positions. Experiences may be concurrent.
